The Junior Engineer at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, maintenance, and supervision of engineering operations within the hospital premises. The role ensures smooth functioning of critical medical infrastructure, compliance with safety standards, and timely preventive maintenance to support uninterrupted patient care and institutional services.
The Junior Engineer will work under the guidance of the Senior Engineer/Executive Engineer and collaborate with other technical staff to ensure high-quality engineering services in the institute.
Assist in planning and executing engineering projects related to buildings, electrical infrastructure, mechanical systems, and hospital utility services.
Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities in the hospital premises, equipment rooms, electrical panels, water supply, HVAC, and other critical systems.
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment and utilities.
Prepare work estimates, bills, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers for timely completion of assigned tasks.
Monitor implementation of safety standards and statutory regulations related to engineering and hospital infrastructure.
Provide technical support during installation, inspection, modification, and repairing of equipment.
Ensure minimum downtime of critical hospital services such as oxygen supply, power backup, medical gas pipeline systems, lift services, etc.
Assist in emergency repair work during breakdowns or disaster situations.
Verify work quality and material specifications as per approved standards and tender requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and technical records related to all engineering works.
Diploma/B.Tech in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (based on requirement).
Experience in hospital infrastructure maintenance will be preferred.
Knowledge of government procedures, safety standards, and statutory compliances is desirable.
Proficiency in preparing estimates, tender documents, and maintenance reports.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Ability to handle multiple maintenance tasks under pressure.
Good communication and coordination abilities.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software is an added advantage.
Understanding of safety norms, hospital utilities, and equipment standards.
