The Senior Administrative Officer is responsible for managing administrative operations of the institute, ensuring smooth functioning of departments, enforcing institutional rules, supporting academic and hospital administration, and coordinating with government bodies. The position involves supervision, planning, compliance, and public administration duties.
Oversee day-to-day administrative activities of all academic, clinical, and support departments.
Ensure compliance with government rules, institutional policies, and statutory regulations.
Supervise and guide administrative staff, clerical teams, and office management functions.
Assist the Director and higher authorities in policy framing, implementation, and institutional planning.
Handle manpower planning, recruitment procedures, leave management, posting, and disciplinary matters of staff (non-clinical and support category).
Monitor procurement documentation, file processing, record maintenance, and contract management.
Coordinate with government offices, vendors, service providers, and regulatory agencies when required.
Ensure proper documentation of hospital records, office communications, tenders, committee proceedings, and confidential files.
Liaise between hospital departments to improve patient service delivery mechanisms.
Oversee security, sanitation, facility management, housekeeping, transport, store, and estate services.
Participate in committee work such as purchase, recruitment, grievance, quality improvement, etc.
Assist in budget planning, administrative audits, and cost control measures related to administration.
Ensure timely submission of reports to management and statutory bodies.
Support research, training, and academic activities through administrative facilitation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Administration / Management / Public Administration / Law / HRM or equivalent.
Minimum 5–10 years of administrative experience in a reputed Govt. Medical College/Hospital/Research Institute (experience requirements may vary as per government norms).
Knowledge of government rules, service regulations, procurement norms, and public administration procedures.
Working knowledge of Office Management Software, Hospital Administration Systems, and MS Office.
Strong leadership and team supervision skills
Excellent communication and drafting ability (English & Hindi)
Knowledge of government procurement, LTC, PFMS, establishment rules, and recruitment procedures
Ability to handle confidential matters with integrity
Crisis and conflict management
Decision-making and problem-solving aptitude
High level of organizational and planning skills
